Ensembles
Newpark Youth Choir
The Newpark Youth Choir offers students a chance to develop their musicianship and vocal technique through group singing in a fun and engaging environment.
The youth choir is aimed at young singers and instrumentalists.
No choral experience is required, for students aged 8-14 years old.
Rehearsals take place weekly in Newpark Academy of Music on Tuesdays at 5:30-6:30pm.

Junior Strings
The Newpark String Orchestra is open to musicians who play the violin, viola, cello and double bass and want to perform in an ensemble.
The Junior Strings have performed at the National Concert Hall a number of times and also perform two concerts every year where they often collaborate with other ensembles and choirs in the school to perform larger pieces of music. Open to students aged between 7-14 of Grade 1-5 Standard.
Rehearsals take place weekly in Newpark Academy of Music on Thursdays at 6.30pm - 7.30pm.

The Junior Strings have performed at the National Concert Hall a number of times and also perform two concerts every year where they often collaborate with other ensembles and choirs in the school to perform larger pieces of music. Open to students aged between 7-14 of Grade 1-5 Standard.

Recorder Ensemble
The Newpark recorder ensemble, the "FLYING RECORDERS" is a group of recorder students, playing together in a fun environment.
The ensemble has been running for a number of years and has a achieved an advanced level of ensemble playing. The ensemble is perfectly set up to play compositions and arrangements for up to 4 parts or more. Performing music from medieval, baroque to contemporary music, as well as jazz and pop arrangements. Open to students of Grade 3 standard and above.
Rehearsals take place weekly in Newpark Academy of Music on Saturdays at 11.30 - 12.30pm
Conductor - Elisabeth Richers Byrne
The ensemble has been running for a number of years and has a achieved an advanced level of ensemble playing. The ensemble is perfectly set up to play compositions and arrangements for up to 4 parts or more. Performing music from medieval, baroque to contemporary music, as well as jazz and pop arrangements. The Newpark Wind Ensemble is open to musicians who play the flute, clarinet, saxophone, recorder and want to perform in an ensemble.
Open to students aged between 7-14 of Grade 1-5 Standard.
The aim of this ensemble is to create a fun environment for students to learn and perform pieces. There will be an emphasis on input from the players themselves to make for a collaborative environment in terms of repertoire selected, with a view to ultimately write their own music.
Rehearsals take place weekly in Newpark Academy of Music on Wednesday at 3:00pm - 4.00pm.
