The Newpark Jazz Big Band Summer Camp 2026 is Celebrating 5 Years!

We are delighted to announce that the Newpark Big Band Summer Camp is back for its 5th year, taking place from Monday, June 29th to Saturday 4th of July with a Final performance on Sunday 5th.

Our 2026 audition date is Saturday 16th of May at our new facilities on the IADT Campus in Dun Laoghaire

Under the dynamic direction of Big Band leader Brendan Doyle, this year’s camp promises another unforgettable week of swing, groove, and creative collaboration. Participants will dive into the heart of big band performance, exploring classic repertoire & arrangements.

We’re especially excited to welcome back special guest soloist, Scott Flanigan, who will be joining us on Hammond organ for our finale performance as well as being a tutor. Whether you’re a returning musician or joining us for the first time, this is a great opportunity to join a vibrant community.

Auditions

To ensure the best experience for all participants, auditions will be held at Newpark Academy of Music on Saturday, May 16th , between 11:00 - 17:00 . Musicians of all instruments are welcome to audition, with a focus on brass, woodwinds, and rhythm section players.
