Strings, Harp, & Guitar Competition Details
All strings competitions (numbers 12, 13, 14, 15, 16) are open to violin, viola, cello, and double bass.
Guitar and harp competitors can enter competitions 16, 17, 18, 19, 20 where applicable.

12. Strings 8 Years and Under
Performers should present one piece of their own choice. (Not to exceed 5 minutes)
Candidates must arrange their own accompanist, where applicable.

13. Strings 10 Years and Under
Performers should present one piece of their own choice. (Not to exceed 5 minutes)
Candidates must arrange their own accompanist, where applicable.

14. Strings 12 Years and Under
Performers should present one piece of their own choice. (Not to exceed 5 minutes)
Candidates must arrange their own accompanist, where applicable.â

15. Strings 15 Years and Under
Performers should present one piece of their own choice. (Not to exceed 6 minutes)

16. John Donald Cup (open to all strings, classical guitar, and harp)
16 Years and Over
Performers should present one piece of their own choice. (Not to exceed 8 minutes)

17. Junior Classical Guitar Performance
15 Years and Under
Performers should present one work from the classical guitar repertoire. (Not to exceed 5 minutes)

18. Senior Classical Guitar Performance
16 Years and Over
Performers should present one work from the classical guitar repertoire. (Not to exceed 8 minutes)

19. Junior Harp Performance
15 Years and Under
Performers should present one or more works from either the classical harp repertoire or the Irish harp repertoire. (Not to exceed 5 minutes)

20. Senior Harp Performance
16 Years and Over
Performers should present one or more works from either the classical harp repertoire or the Irish harp repertoire. (Not to exceed 8 minutes)
