Musical Memories

Our award-winning dementia choir has been running every Thursday for over

eight years at Deansgrange Library.The choir is completely free for people

living with dementia, their families, carers, and residents from local nursing

homes. Weekly sessions create opportunities for singing, social connection,

confidence, and wellbeing through music. As attendance continues to grow,

Friends of Newpark membership will help us employ an assistant vocal

musician, ensuring every participant receives the support they deserve.

​​Thomas Immel Scholarship Recipient for Academic Year 2026 - 2027 

​Thomas  has been studying the violin at Newpark Academy of Music since he was seven years old. He particularly enjoys playing with others in ensembles, and is a member of three youth orchestras including the Newpark Junior Strings. He enjoys many different genres of music. Alongside music, he enjoys reading and sports.
