Newpark Rocker
Calling all aspiring young rockers! Join us every Tuesday at Newpark for our rock band course designed specifically for youth. Our experienced instructor will teach you everything you need to know about playing in a band, from mastering your instrument to working together as a group to create awesome music. All skill levels are welcome, so whether you're a beginner or a more advanced musician, come rock out with us and unleash your inner rock star!

Taught by our guitar teacher Patrick Clarke
Patrick Clarke is a guitarist, composer and educator from County Down. Patrick moved to Dublin to complete his degree at the British and Irish Modern Music Institute.

Since graduating, Patrick went on to complete his Teaching Diploma from Trinity Laban and has upheld a regular teaching practice ranging in styles, age and ability.
​
Patrick likes to teach with a student-led approach, teaching techniques and repertoire that interest the students most. He has extensive experience in teaching ensemble groups in Pop, Rock and Jazz.
​
Outside of teaching, Patrick also has a blossoming career as a session musician playing venues and festivals like Vicar Street, Ulster Hall, Other Voices and Forbidden Fruit. He also composes and leads his own original jazz quartet, ‘The Patrick Clarke Group’, and has a vested interest in the Dublin jazz scene, hosting a monthly jam night. He is currently working towards his Master’s Degree in Music Performance.

Patrick’s unique teaching style is rooted in students having fun and playing music that interests them.
Patrick teaches on Mondays and Tuesdays in Newpark Academy of Music.
